OUR COMMITMENTS

ECORESPONSIBILITY- The fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries on our planet. Seeking to reduce our ecological impact by improving each of the stages of the creation of our clothes is a key mission of KIND STUDIO. To do this, we give priority to natural materials, fabrics from surpluses, recycled and organic fibers or even hand weaving. To find out more, you can consult the materials page .

ETHICAL AND SOCIAL MANUFACTURING - In order to support a cause close to our hearts, we make the majority of our collections with the Chaiim Foundation and its production workshop in Mumbai, India. The foundation fights for the reintegration and emancipation of women victims or at risk of human trafficking. It offers them social support, professional training as seamstresses and then a job.

In order to promote local production and French know-how, the other part of our collections is made in Paris itself. We collaborate with independent craftsmen as well as with reintegration projects. Some pieces are also made in-house, in our studio in the 11th arrondissement.

  • WHY INDIA

India has a rich textile culture. Weaving, embroidery, dyeing, woodblock printing, etc., so much traditional know-how that makes the particularity of the local textile culture. We admire the work of artisans who have become a central source of inspiration, creating many possibilities and nurturing our creativity as well as our collections.

Participating in the maintenance of these activities also means having a direct social impact by supporting the many craftsmen and their know-how. It means preserving these traditional techniques, which are often in danger in the face of mass production and fast-fashion. Choosing craftsmanship also means voluntarily choosing a slower pace for our fashion and a more virtuous one for our planet. It's deciding to make clothes that have meaning with textiles that have a soul.

Having our clothes made in India is not only to support the Chaiim Foundation and participate in the emancipation of women. It is also to keep a short circuit, by manufacturing our models near the textile production sites. Making this choice means reducing the environmental impact of our clothes and supporting local jobs throughout the chain, by refusing to export resources and materials.

Collaborating with a geographically distant country obviously entails an ecological cost when transporting goods. However, for the reasons mentioned above, we sincerely believe in the consistency of this approach and these commitments for KIND STUDIO.

  • WHY FRANCE

France is renowned for its high-end know-how in ready-to-wear clothing. This is why we decided to create part of our collections in Paris.

Also, we made the choice of Parisian manufacturing to meet a desire for consistency between the sourcing of materials and the manufacture of parts: it is from fabrics from dormant stocks located in the Paris region that these garments are created.

Then, we are committed to participating in the promotion of French know-how, through the manufacture of more upscale parts. A quality of manufacture that is found nowhere else, while ensuring a short production circuit.

Thus, our parts made in Paris contribute to the local economy with a reduced environmental impact, while supporting French know-how and the close relationship with our partners.
